About Us

Ron Coffer is the Founder and President of Save a Generation Incorporated in Carolina Beach, NC; he is also a Missionary Pastor that graduated from Liberty Bible College in Pensacola, FL.

Ron moved to Guatemala, CA in 1987. He worked for Living Water Ministries for 3 and ½ years under the training of Mack McKeon. When Mack McKeon went to be with the Lord in 1990, God put in Ron's heart to start his own Ministry of church planting, feeding stations and medical clinics.
In 1987, Ron Coffer visited Nicaragua and he saw the poverty and need in this country. He was unable to do anything at that time because of the political situation in Nicaragua, so he went back to Guatemala.

In 1990, The Lord put in Ron’s heart to go back to Nicaragua. From 1991-1995 he started making regular trips to Nicaragua from Guatemala. In 1995, Save a Generation started feeding the local kids of Somotillo, Nicaragua and also bought the first piece of land to build a church in Nicaragua. The Ministry (SAG) started churches in different villages around Somotillo and in these villages SAG started feeding the children.

In 1998, hurricane Mitch hit Nicaragua destroying thousands of homes and killing many Nicaraguans. It was then that Ron Coffer decided to make Managua, Nicaragua his home. Since 1998, SAG has built a Medical Center in Somotillo that employs a full time Doctor and a Nurse. SAG has also built an Orphanage and the ministry is currently feeding 18 different villages and 25 widows.

Save a Generation is now in the process of building an operating room which will be the first legal operating room Somotillo. The operating room will serve over 20,000 people that live in that part of the country. SAG is also currently building a Medical Clinic in Managua which is the capital of Nicaragua.
